As a continuation of a series of works begining with INSIDER at Cubitt Gallery London (see related projects below), we assisted Sidsel Meineche Hansen in creating a virtual reality animation using Eva (the digital 3d figure asset featured throughout the larger body of works) for her parallel solo shows at Temporary Gallery in Cologne and Künstlerhaus Bremen.
In this show at Temporary Gallery, found footage from a pornagraphic Oculus Rift game was shown alongside footage from our bespoke virtual reality animation.
In addition to this, digital assets previously created by Werkflow for a talk Sidsel delivered at London's Serpentine Gallery, were re-developed into a physical wooden artwork in collaboration with fabrication company Werk5. The 3d model was cut out of wood using a 5 axis router - the resulting structure was then blow-torched to achieve a 'shou sugi ban' style finish.
